Swiss seductress turned Italian pizza ass Monica Strebel wasn’t in a lot of movies, so she had to make them count. But, considering most of the movies she made were sex comedies and horror flicks, you could usually count on nudity. Yes, while our B movie babes tend to be blonde, busty, basic, and only briefly brought onto screen with their tops on, the Italians prefer a little amour than we do in the USA. Born in Switzerland but performing almost exclusively in Italy, Monica made her film debut in the Lee Van Cleef spaghetti Western The Big Gundown (1966). She first pulled her top down about four years later, in Lettera aperta a un giornale della sera, or Open Letter to the Evening News (1970). It’s a drama about a bunch of Italian communists who debate whether to back up their idealistic talk with some dramatic action.
